Just replaced both floor plates and once the paint was brushed off
noticed holes in the footwell

any thoughts on welding v pop riveting the new panels on?

pop riveted panels wont be water tight unless you blat them with sealant - welding going to easier ?

would you leave the old one in, a bit lazy i know, but i could convince myself it would help protect new one

do the job properly, take it out and replace
