A funny thing happened to me on the way home from work today,
I had been bombing down a dual carriageway and as I approached a roundabout, I took my foot off the gas but the revs stayed high, I quickly blipped the throttle and the revs went down but it happened again and several times before getting home.
When at home I looked at the throttle linkage and the spring was as strong as ever an returned the linkage a:confused: s it should.Any ideas. (200 TDi)

Probably yer cable has some frayed bits inside it. I'd replace it to be on the safe side, then a good dose of wd40 on all the moving parts of the linkage etc.

lube it up, same thing happened to me on and off. got the cable with GT85 and around where it meets the pedal. havent had it since (touch wood)
