Hi people has anybody ever replaced a fog light bulb on a disco 2? only when i took the bulb out there was a kinda attatchment on the end of the bulb that i have never seen before, Halfords didnt have any on the shelf that i could see either.

not with a pigtail - an H11 is similar to a 9005/6 and has a moulded in connector block.

Facelift Disco 2's have the little round spotlights, very similar to the Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro vans, and they do have the moulded connector on the bulb.

Pre-2002 vehicles have the pigtail on the bulb.

MHM it's the first light bulb on your diagram....that's in with a connector block attached, I take it it's a H11 then is it, still can't find these in Halfords!

they do sell them - its not an HB5/6 (9005/6) but a 711 at £11.99ea.
If yu want to save a bit of money - get it in the motorcycle section :D

It's amazing how many variants have been thrown up while looking for a basic bulb!

We've got some 9005 HB3 bulbs here, they are used on the Astra 2003 with separate bulbs for high and dip beams.

They are VERY similar to the facelift Disco bulbs, but there's a slight difference between the 9005 and the 9005/6.

yup
i cant remember which is which but of the 9005/6 arrangement, one is used as dipped beam and the other as high beam.
you can tell the difference, by looking into the connector housing - there are locating pips moulded in to the housing and they are different between the 9005 and 9006. I think the 9005 has two pips, not sure on the 9006 off the top of my head.

Yeah you were rite a 711, and the pips in the connector block are closer together, thats the difference between the 2006 and 2005. Cheers guys.
