Is it possible to fit OE foglamps in the position fitted at the factory that is resessed on the outer edge of the front bumper?

yep.

on the pre-facelift freelander, the section you have to cut out is even embossed on the back of the bumper showing you where to cut.

not sure about facelift though

So you can fit the standard fogs from the facelift model onto earlier freelander?
