Righto I have an old rrc flywheel which weighs in at 15.5 kilos and accepts a 10 inch clutch.

I need a 9.5 inch clutch to fit my series box. So my options are redrill this flywheel and skim it up in the milling machine and turn table possibly machine it fown and lighten it will need to get it dynamically balanced tho any suggestions where???

Or

Pickup an sd1 flywheel kind of hard to find at what I call a reasonable cost. which is apparently slightly lighter than 15.5 kilos to start with and it already drilled for a 9.5 clutch.

Real steel do a McLeod lightened one for 280 ish quid but it's only a few kg's lighter i think 12 or 13 kgs all up and against my principles spending fortunes on such items..

From previous experience my bro has taken an sd1 down to 9 odd kilos for his comp motor I really really want it balanced properly because @ 5000rpm it will make mincemeat of my legs if it lets go.

Seems a waste not to do it while it's out in pieces as the car weighs circa 900 ish kg's I would like to loose some of the flywheels weight if poss.

What to do ????
