Hi need bit of advice. Whilst driving down the motorway hazard suddenly started flashing, no other symptoms. only way i could stop them was to pull out the fuse for "the multi function box" as described in the landrover manual. Now the central locking does not function from the key fob or from the drivers door. the immobiliser shows no sign of life, ie no little red car on instrument panel. every thing else on the car is functioning perfectly is running very well at the moment. (should,nt have put that!) any ideas anyone, I,m worried some thing serious is about to happen.
just to say the hazards are also still functioning normally from their switch. This is my first post but have been but have been getting information from this forum for many months, thanks to all those who have been so informative. Hope to here from some of you soon. cheers allen forgot to say its a manual 300tdi 1997

This is a well known problem replace the hazard light section of the stalks. I had same problem but could leave engine running and remove ignition key.

cheers for that but what do you mean by the section of the stalks. the switch is in the dash.

Ah reet sorry thought it was a 200tdi with the hazard on the steering wheel. In which case ignore me previous post though it could be the hazard switch on it's way out Hazards are connected to immobiliser/alarm hence why the problem with ya immobiliser. also do a search for spider probs as this can affect them as well
