Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help. I have identified a garage who are going to replace the gearbox on my 2011 SD4 auto gearbox. I have sourced a used box and acquired a refurbed torque converter. I have 3 main questions:

1. Will it be necessary to swap the gearbox control unit from the original box to the one going into the vehicle?

2. What spec of gearbox oil will I need?

3. What other parts (seals, bolts etc.) should I get replaced as part of the job.

Thanks in advance of any advise.

I would be worried the garage yer using don't know this already. They should know what parts, fluid and method to use to change an auto gearbox. They should know where to get a recon gearbox for you.
