When fitting drilled and slotted discs does it matter which way you fit them? does the diagonal line of the slot or drilled hoes go \ or / with direction of rotation?
what i said was if you drive it like you stole it-two miles and either a classic or p38 will suffer brake fade- new disks, pads and rave fluid change on several RR it's the same
secondly driving on ****ty roads in no way compares to lynton and lynmouth at 60-70mph and porlock hill with or without trailer or caravan.

Just a question. Why would anyone in their right mind spend a fortune on slotted vented discs, when the standard ones that cost very little by comparison, are more than adiquate for the job?
to the last poster- have you ever tried towing a proper trailer or caravan or for that matter porlock hill, I've had serious brake fade within 2 miles using the gearbox and brakes as little as possible.
P38 brakes as standard are crap
Jesus loves you but I think you are a ****, having level 3 nvq motor vehicle and years a go working in a garage that serviced and specialized in classics-you are talking ****. the brakes on range rovers are as good as the old sd1
Is you having a level 3 paperwork qualification supposed to impress me? I trained as a mechanic when they actually repaired things, not just took a bit off and replaced it with a new one. I repeat the brakes on my DSE are superb, it tows and stops a 2 1/2 ton boat without any problems, with the help of properly maintained trailer brakes that is. But if you insist on doing 60-70 mph around Lynton and Lynmouth then maybe you need race brakes. There was no need for the implied insult, you maybe interested to learn that i think nothing of you whatsoever. Maybe when you have graduated to more than the ability to change oil, your your views will be taken a little more seriously.
