Just been quoted £450 to supply and fit side sliding windows to my defender 90 200tdi hard top (Hallam bros, hayfield, Derbyshire)

Reasonable?

Depends if they are genuine ones.

Have you though of buying some county sides with windows? Sure you might get someone who'd swop on here. Very easy to replace. Just bolt off bolt on

It's probably a good 3 - 4 hours work, so if that is supply and fit not unreasonable

Have seen guides on here on how to do yourself - as long as you measue, check and remeasure before cutting, didn't look too challenging

But the side panels cost me £20 the pair :p plus it also depends where you want the cab to sit

Mines about a third into the pickup bed so still leave a good amount of room in the bed, plus £250  all mines missing now is a roof to trim (can get one for cheap) and a rear cat flap door or if not I'll just have a solid window

The best part of this method, as I found out, is you can go back to van sides when you're fed up with the windows rattling and leaking!!
