Hi Guys - I'm fairly new here... so hello all, and thanks in advance for anyone who might be able to help.
I'm about to pick up a 110 van back/commercial vehicle (2008 TDCi) and am intending to install some shelving into the back. Maybe use it as a bit of a camper? I'm OK at DIY, have access to a large array of carpentry and fitting tools and am happy to measure the shelving up and build a frame for it etc. but I have some questions...
1. How do I go about attaching it to the interior? It's bare walls in the back, but I don't know how to attach it without potentially going through some important wiring or damaging the integrity of the structure...
2. Is there any decent way of padding it to reduce vibration and rattling whilst driving (esp. whilst on the less beaten paths of the UK...)
3. Is it worth insulating and carpeting the panels in the back and the roof to reduce condensation and noise etc.?
If anyone has any ideas or advice it'd be much appreciated. I'd rather build it myself that spend a small fortune buying a kit (unless there's a cheap one anyone knows of?) so anyone's experiences of doing this themselves would be brilliant.
Thanks, Shay.
