Morning gentleman, I'm fitting new ACE pipes to the rear this morning, everything is uncoupled and loose, the only bit I'm having trouble with is where the pipes go into the block, I've undone the nuts that hold the plate on but nothings budging, I'm assuming the plate needs to come off to allow pipe removal and refit, is it OK to smack it with a hammer to release it? Or do the pipes simply pull out somehow and the plate stays where it is?
I'm trying to upload a pic to show you which bit I'm talking about but I'm a bit **** at technology

the plate will need tapping off carefully, before pipes pull out ,sometime the pipes corrode in so well you need to cut pipe and push a m8 bolt down the pipe so you can twist pipe out with molegrips etc

spot on, thanks for that mate, ill continue with removal :)

I hope you know that you heed new seals in the block too, cos the old ones will leak even if they didnt before, that's almost certain
