There isn't any noise at all when the heater switch is used. It doesn't seem to heat up at all which makes things difficult to say the least! Can't see out of the screen most of the time due to condensation...or frost!

so you hit the switch and fook all happens , so you deduce that yer landy dunt got no heater/fan. is this correct?

I've actually just dashed out in the pouring rain to have a look and it appears to have the blower but clearly doesn't work!
Are they easy to source or can you get uprated ones cheaply?

under the stering colum there is a black box with 4 fuses in it, check em cos i can't remember off hand which is which

aye, like slob says, check your fuses, if you replace a burst fuse and it bursts again i'd take the dash off and check the wiring. i found the indicators taking 12v's off the back of the heater switch on one of me S3's, so when the indicator relay melted it burst the fuse for the heater! i'm hoping that was just someone's diy wiring and not the standard set up!

have you tried powering it up by connecting the wires coming out of the heater to the battery?mine just had a dodgy connection. At lest if it doesnt blow when you do this you know it's the blower that's dead not just a bad connection!
