I'm wanting to fit a rev counter to my defender 300TDi defender. Has anyone done this and if so could you tell me how to carry out this small project. Where is the W connection on the alternator, etc???? Is it straight forward? I believe VDO are the best/std fitment to land rover!

They all work But the terminal is in different places. basicallly it's just a pulsed feed to the rev counter.

Going to buy the VDO gauge to suit diesel engine.

Any will work for an alternator fed gauge, diesel just means the max is bout 6k you'd only use 1/2 a petrol unit.
