Good afternoon
First time on here just after a bit of advice
Just bought a disco 3 2008
And the person that I bought off said that the turbo actuator has been a bit sticky
Would this be a reason that it’s a bit smoky out of the exhaust.
There’s smoke from the initial start
No smoke when idle
Then when revs are over 2

Also hdc fault keeps coming up after accelerating off I have read a few threads on here saying battery so have bought a new battery and charging it as I’m writing this so hopefully this should stop this from happening

Thank you in advance for your support and help

Yes a faulty Turbo will give you excess smoke, not sure how accessible it is on the D3 but try and loosen it off with penetrating oil. Take off the pipe and have a feel of the vanes, they should spin quite freely with barely no in/out movement.
