Hello all. New member and new (for me) Landy owner. Just brought a 1979 Series 3 and already in love with the leaky noisy rusty old dog.
Had a disco and some Jap 4x4s before but I feel like I'm home now.

Now you're talking, welcome. A series landy is a basic utility vehicle at the origins of Landys. Petrol or diesel? If you maintain it regularly and don't thrash it should be reliable and put a smile on your face.

Thanks for the welcome gents. It's a 2.25 petrol with what seems to be a high compression series 2a engine (241 engine no prefix). I'm already impressed as after buying him I had a 98 mile trip round the m25 and up the m1 at the dizzying speed of 50mph. Once I work out how to post pictures I'll stick some in owners vehicles.
