ripface

Hi,

Just joined Discovery ownership by buying a 1996 V8i ES Discovery. Enjoying the beast tremendously, as does the Wife who drives it most.

A couple of quizzy questions for you experts .....

The offside rear mudflap is ... well ... flapping. It appears to be bolted to a panel which runs inside the wheel arch, but the panel has rusted through and fallen in two parts. It seems that this panel can just be unbolted and replaced. Anyone know the proper name for it? Has it got one? Are they expensive to replace?

The vehicle has a full service history up to 57K miles, and has *just* turned 67K. Does anyone know when the belts need replacing? How much will I need to remortgage for to pay for that?

Other than the above the body is in remarkable condition with no rust or dings evident. The motor fires up readily and sounds gorgeous. Always did love the rip of a V8. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

welcome aboard matey i think the panels called a rear quater support or mud flap support or some thing like that, possibly craddocks or paddocks would stock em...good luck chap...:)
