I have a TD4 with new clutch and master/slave (yes it did that Freeloader classic and left me gearless on the M3). As a female with small feet I find it almost impossible to change gears smoothly because I can't keep my heel on the floor while releasing the clutch gently. I've never had this problem before even with Defenders and series I & 11... My partner not happy about clutch dumping after his hard work replacing said assembly. Is there a quick fix to adjust clutch pedal position? Bigger boots are not the answer!
 
I guess you could get a metal plate made up to form a false floor so the floor is raised up a bit over the pedal area - experiment with a thick book or block of wood to see if it helps :)

A late friend of mine. had a block of wood of wood screwed to her brake and clutch pedels in a disco as she couldnt reach them

You said you had no problem with defenders an series so ....... :confused:

Seriously Mag did have but 2x4 screwed to her pedels. She was 4ft 10, and ran an ice cream kiosk on the sea front. Plus where she lived the roads used to flood quite badly and when it snowed it drifter cross the road so she needed a 4x4 and liked discos.

White panel van? I've got one of those - mind your language , please.

You've not had any truly nasty comments - yet - there are folks on here who will advise that you burn it, you, or worse!!!

Seriously - if it's short legs that are the problem even with the seat close up then you need to consider a packing piece of wood or layers of cardboard under a foot-mat. It needs to be stable and not move about - perhaps self-adhesive Velcro pads would help if it needs to be removed for other drivers.

If it really is your foot size as opposed to the leg length - then I would suggest you simply need practice in NOT keeping your heel on the floor and just lift your entire foot up with the clutch pedal.

Have fun and watch out for the White Van folks - we're not all crazies.

Im all in for helping people with issues, but seriously, small feet isnt a Freelander issue. Its personal, something that by now you'd expect any normal human being to have adjusted to. I truely think that some of the posts on here asking for "help" are a wind up, next will be, Ive got short arms and cant reach the fuel cap, any suggestions.

Get a french/italian car, pedals closer together, designed for small feet.
 
Don't care if she doesn't come back...she's got a horse in her user name :mad:
 
do what i do when im in the gaylander and my missus also has little pins ,i lean over and do the clutch for her ,cos were in love.
