I've had the Disco off the road for a few weeks now, as I thought I would do a bit of work on it prior to the MOT. I've done extensive welding on the rear chassis after removing the fuel tank. It would probably have passed the test in its condition, but I was wanting it done proper. I also done all the brakes. New pads, discs & pipes. Also refurbed all the callipers with new pots and seals. Very slight rust starting on inner arches where rear passenger door rubber wears the paint off, so rubbed them both back to bare metal, primed and painted. So far so good, but while under it last night preparing at for new waxoyl treatment, I found a hole in the rear offside body wheel arch. Its hidden behind the plastic trim though, but really ****ed me off finding it. I've ordered up some fibre glass hole filler and some mesh, but getting a bit "Scunnered" with it now. If I didn't love the thing as much, it would be gone.
