M&S lights have come on - showing 0753 fault. Changed the XYZ switch a few weeks ago but has been fine. Can clear the fault but comes back after a minute or so of driving. Any ideas?

P0753 is about the shift control solenoid MV1 which is in the valve block or the circuit to it(chafed loom on that path ?), the XYZ switch has nothing to do with it... if the loom is intact you can see if it clicks or not forced with nanocom or similar... unless it's a problem in the circuit between the console plug and TCU.... troubleshooting is needed

Thank you Sierrafery - we will drop the valve block and also check the loom.

Pretty sure this is a wiring issue around the P clip. Going to try to access the loom by removing the centre console today etc. Happy with the process of removing the console and drilling out the rivets to remove the inspection cover etc, but do i need to disconnect the gear lever cable for better access or can this be done with it in place?

So I got as far as the inspection plate, which judging by the rivets has been out before. But the plate had been riveted back with the plate under the inspection hole, rather than over. If I had tried to drill it out the plate would have been in the way of the loom etc?! Is that right? Surely it should sit on top of the inspection hole and be riveted from on top?
