Hi All
Next in the saga is the development of a whirring noise when depressing the clutch. No noise when stationary in neutral, clutch up, throughout rev range. No noise when driving, whatever gear. Noise appears exclusive to the clutch pedal being depressed, even partially.
I'm assuming it's the clutch release bearing, right?
Couple of questions:-
1. Looking through other threads, survival times last from 50 miles to 6 years. Any advice as to how quickly i need this doing?
2. Is there any lubrication that can be applied to prolong the life, without having to take the whole bleeping thing out?
3. Anyone used Egdon Group in Worcester (or others by recommendation) for this type of job? Had some clutch slip and biting point at top of travel, so probably about time to do the whole lot anyway (gulp)
Thanks in advance!
