4 days of not needed to drive so thought "I know I will renew that noisy wheel bearing like a good chap should"
finally got new bearing in, thought yipee missus will be pleased,,

upon reflecting on the old haynes manual maxim of "installing is the opposite of removing" which lead to damaged ball joint, of course the rivetted type, which lead to new wishbone, & now the half shaft bearings end just slid out, giggled at me then fell apart,, I swear this beast laughs at me,
( & I reckon the toaster is giving me evil looks )

Joys of motoringπŸ˜€, although you have the riveted bottom ball joint sometimes you can get one to bolt on , ask your local motor factor if they do one for yours especially if rest of lower arm ok

Getting old bearings out of hub a pain, daughters Corsa I used a dremel to cut through outer race stuck in hub , my golf was pleased to see change hub bearing undoing 3 bolts πŸ€ͺ

If you're going to replace just the ball joint be careful there are two different sizes, whole arms are pretty cheap.
