I am about to take delivery of a 1998 4.0SE. There is a 3 month warranty from the garage, but I would like longer term cover as I know that there can be some challenging issues with these vehicles.

Does anybody know of a company specialising in in RR warranties for vehicles over 10 years old?

When I very first got my P38 I also looked at warranties - half of them wernt worth it if you read the super dooper small print and the other half that seemed to offer some cover required the vehicle have less than 100,000 miles on it!

Most things are do-able on the P38 yourself, try and have a go at what you can and then try some of the things you think you cant, this will drastically keep garage costs down.

The quotes I have had are silly for the cover offered, so like it or not, I'll be following the DIY principle.

Problem is, I'm not that handy, DIY-wise, so it will be a learning curve; but I'll try!

No doubt, I'll be posting a few requests for help and encouragement!

By the way, I picked the car up today and it's great!
