Can the forum software be configured in a way that could allow the OP to mark the thread as closed if an item is sold, for it to then be cleared down by the system?
Just looking at the for sale section and there's a huge amount of threads with items which are no longer for sale.

I suggest they make you some form of low level admin for a nominal fee, maybe £50. That way you can sift the sales and wants for expired freds and remove as necessary
