Ooops

Does it not just pull out, be gentle, should be with the cap though..LOL

Cheers

No tried pulling it out but it wont budge, it has got a cap that unscrewed and left this inside neither the cap or this look damaged.

it's held there by two tight o-rings, it seems that the cap has split from the valve body, you'll need a new cap anyway so grab it well with something and use brute force to pull it up, no other way, eventually spray some WD40 to lubricate around the o-rings and turn it both ways to unstuck it

Exactly the same happened to a fortnight or so ago.
I was able to carefully lever the inner bits out with a flat bladed screwdriver. Just lift it enough to break the seal created by the "o" rings and it can then be pulled out by hand.
There are four little tabs inside the cap which grip the inner bits and it looks like they've either got a bit weak or one has broken off.
It's not worth trying to repair the cap, just replace it, they're cheap enough. IMO it's a reasonable idea to replace the cap at regular intervals anyway.
To prevent it happen again, I've given the "o" rings on the new cap just a slight smear of silicone grease before fitting the new cap. Silicone grease is largely inert so it shouldn't react with either the plastic of the expansion tank, the cap, the rubber "o" rings or the coolant mixture.
