Does anyone know if there is a modified expansion tank, or cap to reduce the risk of a blown HG? (Thought I read it somewhere).

Too late for me this time, had quote to replace with the modified head gasket, thermostat, head bolts and oil rail,.
just thinking of anything else to reduce this happening again. (apart from selling on).

I had a new header tank fitted after my head gasket blew. I think they are slightly different.
I bet LRguy would know

if you are having the modified thermostat pipe fitted ensure old thermostat is removed(you dont want 2 in the system), along with this pipe you should fit the new style expansion tank and cap.

@LR Guy, whats the wheel on my tail gate for? I haven't once pulled off the lights quick enough to get it to touch the road

Mine just catches all the bird ****, cos they sit on the roof bars and crap everywhere
