I have been having problems with the lack of power and top end performace and speed from my 2.5 n/a diesel n my series 3

I notice after around say 10 miles the tail pipe is red hot !!!

I was wondering is the exhaust on a 90 a larger bore than on a series if so could this be restricting the power and causing my problem ??

Many thanks chris

can't see how a diesel tail pipe would get red hot,

is it just the tail pipe or the rest of the eggzaust?

the whole exhaust is hot after say 10 miles you could only touch it for say 2 seconds before it burnt

It makes me wonder if the series exhaust is to small and the gases cant get out quick enough which i thought might explain the poor performance ????

The whole exhaust system is new and only been on the car for 6 months

dunno.

my old n/a didnt seam to get that hot. my 300tdi is hot outta the tail tht you cant hold your hand there for more than 1 sec. and that drives fine... i think!
