Good morning all,

I've got a second hand stainless system for my '73 109", but cannot work out where the mounts are meant to go. It's a RH rear exit with the silencer sideways under the rear of the tub.

I've got 3 of the exhaust hangers (sold to me as a complete set), two are straight and one angled.

Can a few of you kind folk post some pictures of where your hangers are mounted on the chassis and at which point of the exhaust they attach.

Thanks

I sometimes think the crew responsible for putting exhausts on series landies were always drunk cos no two ever seem to be the same. I've looked at loads of exhaust diagrams and none of them look like mine. I mean, why would you cut a hole in the rear mud flap to make way for the tail pipe!!

The parts catalogue has good diagrams in it for various early and late type 109s so worth a look to see where the brackets should go on the exhaust if the pics match yours. As said there are lots of different versions out there. The mounts should obviously be placed above the brackets.
