Evening Gents,

I've been a Land Rover lover since forever, spent that last 10 years in the Army so had some great fun driving and looking after the newer TD5 long, short wheel base and WMIK defenders in some amazing places.
My first land rover was a Freelander 1 1.8 Petrol which i still have now (but is a hobby car).
Finally got a Disco 2 TD5 but at a price - its a total junker. Going to take a year or so to get it back into good health so i'm going to be leaning on skills and expertises of the members here to help me.

Problems so far are:

  1. Large rust issues on radiator cradle
  2. Rust issues on rear chassis (left and right side) and fractures
  3. ABS shuttle valve issues (three amigos)
  4. Oil presser sensor inoperable
  5. Engine thermostat housing issues
  6. Cylinder head cracked (exhaust over pressurising coolant system)
  7. Clutch failing to disengage every time (looks like a slave cylinder issue)
  8. Possible vacuum leak
  9. Some minor wiring issues
  10. Rusty radiator
. . .apart from that she's as sweet as a nut!

Please feel free to comment as much as you like on my posts, i will never take offence if someone says something obvious - after 10 years in the Army i'm used to being talking down to!

Thanks guys and looking forward to getting some help and advice.
