I have a P38 2.5 Diesel.
The front windows are working intermittently and the message centre is saying Fuse 8 9 and 22 have failed.
Other manifestations air con and heaters dont work but when i switch the ignition off the air blowers come on in the cabin and wont switch off

HELP
Where do I start , I am a complete whelk with this sort of stuff:(

Have you actually checked those fuses??

It sounds like a BeCM issue a bit, erroneous fuse failure messages are a common sign however don't assume the worst yet.

Check the fuses that its moaning about. Check your earthing points to make sure they are all clean and secure. Open the fuse box in the engine and look for any signs of overheating, this can be a bad burnt electronics smell with browning of the blower motor relays etc.

Get yourself a copy of RAVE and use the ETM to find grounding points.

Come back with what you find/dont find.

See RangeRovers.net :: View topic - RAVE Download - comes with free beer!

RAVE is the workshop manual along with other useful bits of info n stuff.

Within RAVE is the ETM (Electronic Troubleshooting Manual) as well.

RAVE has lots of pictures and things for you to look at and see what you need to do :D The ETM section has views of every earthing point etc etc

Lastly, how is your battery and alternator?? What voltage readings are you getting from the battery??

Wills ,
Thanks for the clarification , I have found a copy of RAVE on ebay and will have a tinker with the other stuff at the weekend (I will change the fuses to start with) and have a look at the battery and alternator.
Thanks for your help and have a good weekend

Just so you know you dont have to pay for RAVE, you can download it for free. You only need to pay for a disc if you aren't able to d/l large files etc.
