I've been keeping an eye out for over a year now for a decent Epsom green bonnet that is somewhere half near me but it just doesn't seem to pop up. Plenty in north wales I see but nothing on the south coast Dorset way. Anyone have or know of one near me. I've emailed several eBay members but nothing seems to work out for one reason or another and I don't want to ship it as every time I risk it the panel gets damaged. Any help much appreciated.

You never heard of paint?
Yes mate but 2 issues here.
1. If I'm going to tidy up the paint that much I might as well do the roof, and the tailgate and both front doors and and... I just want rid of the lacquer peel.
2. A decent bonnet seems to be around £50-80. Paint is a lot more and it's only a 180,000 mile 95 DSE. Just want it a bit more tidy.

Got the same issue: lacquer peeling off the front edge of the bonnet. Must be the air-resistance ...

How about seeing if anyone can help courier to you. Maybe post in LZ courier section if you see one on eBay?

The other option seldom considered, is to find the bonnet closest and most convenient no matter what colour, then have the car resprayed to match it. ;):D:D

I know on a Range rover it is less common but Paintman does all the correct colours in coach enamel. With a little practice and care you could achieve a very decent finish with a two brush technique especially if the bonnet was off the vehicle, for around 50quid. Spend a little more and the whole vehicle could be done. Think on a 180k vehicle it would be my choice.

I guess you've tried Kerbside - when I was there he had a selection of retired looking P38's lying around.

Epsom green is a metallic....you can't brush it.
It's also a 2 coat system, base and clear.

2k (2 pack Isocyanate) is king for this but the base is available as water based.

You still need 2k laquer tho.
