Hi,

Been meaning to to write this for a while.

Waxoyl, although it's OK.

For rust-proofing, get Ensis oil, made by shell for protecting oilrigs, and used by the US military.

Waxoyl is great if you use it on non-overlapping bits of metal, but it won't penetrate under an overlapping pieces of metal. Ensis oil does, it will actually force out any moisture.

Brilliant stuff, a friend used on a boat, with steel riveted ribs. Painted this stuff on, came back the next day and you could actually see the moisture forced out on the otherside of the rivet.

Just about to do my Landy in a week or so. Just need a paintbrush, and maybe a little hand spraygun, and slap it on.

Ensis PW 265 is £75 plus VAT (17.5%) for 20 litres. Delivery charges are free for over 40 litres, or orders under this amount would be £10 plus 17.5% VAT. Delivery time is about 3-5 working days, subject to stock availability.

Please feel free to give out my telephone number 01432 374606, for lubricant and fuel orders if you want to.

I am normally in the office Monday to Wednesday 9.15am until 5.30pm (lunch between about 1pm and 2pm). If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

Best Wishes

so the data sheet says 'for the corrosion protection for finely finished precision steel parts'..........that rules out series vehicles then doesn't it??:)

Yes, but it also says its used on oilrigs - which are metal structures that produce large quantities of oil... So that rules in series vehicles

bollocks:: landy's dint produce oil they just use, leak, burn and otherwise consume the stuff, them is still ruled oot
