Hi guys, I know is sacrilage? But having just got a series 1 1953... and a v8 what involved in getting rid of the 1.6 petrol all help is gratefully received.
You will need a Series 2 or 3 box to start with, an adaptor plate, probable flywheel redrill for clutch cover, change of engine and gearbox mounts on the chassis, bulkhead modification to clear rear of engine, remote oil filter housing so that oil filter doesn't hit front axle, custom exhaust system......just off the top of my head.
its not bad at all, very good chassis and floors all panels are solid, been standing for four years surface rust on springs firing on three, only one wiper and rip in roof.
