I currenty have a Discovery 1 V8 and am considering swapping the engine for a TDi from a Discovery 1. Does anyone know if the gearbox is the same, is the bell housing the same?? I am a mechanic anyway so i am sure it should be failey straightforward but any help would be appriciated ...:confused:
 
as I understand it, both the V8 and the 200Tdi both use an LT77 gearbox, however the V8 uses an LT77S (strengthened) version.
