on my previous thread i . was talking about a 3.5 or 3.9 v8. It was the carb version that i saw turbo'd but anyway is the 3.5 and 3.9 the same size and they are just bored out larger? . As you will likely no it is fairly tight underneth the bonnet. atleast for the spark plugs .

exactly the same but 3.5 bored out an extra 200 thou to fit wider 3.9 liner ,4 litre 4.6 ,4.2 and 3.9 same size bore different strokes
