Hello all.

My mate who is not up to speed on computers has asked to ask you all if you can shed some light on his engine shudder problem, he has a 300 tdi engine which has had the timing belt done, before it was done there was no problem but now when he turns the engine off it gives a shudder, he has spoken to the garage who said it was normal I told him I think the timing has not been set up properly, what do you guys think.

timeing not right if it only started after the belt change? i would guess but dont quote me on that till you get it looked at.

may have jumped a tooth, tensioner not set right and so on, recomend u get it looked at soon as will cost loads if it gets worse!

who did it and how long has it been done? did the fault happen instantley after or a while after?

could be many other causes but the belt is my guess.

Thank you for the responce disco dude It started straight after the belt change, it has been done for about a month now, and it was ment to be a 4x4 garage that did it so I was going to suggest he took it back to be timed properly.
