Hi All,
I have posted some of the photos of my engine as it's been stripped and rebuilt, but I have a bit of a hurdle! Probably inexperience to blame but I have now got an almost rebuilt engine but I need to set up the timing? The whole engine has been through the "washing machine", my head chains and cams are aligned ok, but does anyone know where I can get info to make sure my crank and heads are all aligned correctly, I'm fairly sure my fly wheel went back from where it came. Any thoughts? Be gentle I'm still learning:) we all start somewhere, I've just chosen to start on a tdv6!!!

Well it feels like forever it's been off the road now, even more so with two ,unheard off snow days!! When it could have been the best car i ever bought, but instead its sitting there with its heart in my garage!! :( kind of given me motivation again! To get back out there!! Will post more photos soon :)

Hahaha, she's alive!!! Finally, today all put back togeather and given a good bath!! It's been years in the coming but it has happened. She started, then suspention lifted, which was a surprise. Then went to high lift, and now won't come down! I feel I may be about to learn all about suspention pumps now!!! :)

hi mate

that’s great news and hats off to u

meant to ask where about in the uk are u plse

have u got any form of diagnostics , suspension it may be a few things

if u allowed the wheels to hang the height sensor may have gone past it’s normal range , so give them a good spray

may have lost its calibration, loose wires, dirty connection ,

when this happens do u get obstacle under vehicle in the display , any warning lights

hope that helps in a small way

Hi,

I'm down Torquay direction. I have been having a look around a few places suspension compressor exhaust valve seems to keep popping up???
Stuck between a rock and a hard place now, family saying well done, now sell it! Problem is I love it, even after putting me in A&E a couple of times during the last three year exercise. Just standing on top of it pressure washing it makes me smile, as does so many other things about it!
See how she fairs with an mot I guess, then will go from there!
Where abouts in the country are you? I think if she stays, there will be investment in more tools and diagnostic equipment though :)
Thanks for following by the way, felt I had to post just in case :)

Thanks, been on and off for 3 years during which time, I pulled the engine out of my d3, stripped it rebuilt it, fitted it, knackered it! Took it out again, fixed it and finally put it back in! Been a while in the coming, still bit nervous but need to take her for a drive now
