I have a 54 plate td4 freelander sport. The turbo has gone in it. Can anyone tell me if this will cause damage to other parts of the engine or will i get away with fitting a new turbo?. Car starts no problem but is very smoky.

as long as engine wasnt run with low oil pressure ,if its passing oil exhaust will be full of it

Over revving as a result of investing and burning oil from turbo

Check intercooler and pipes for shrapnel and excessive oil
