I see rave advocates removing the engine, autobox as one and then separating the box out of the car.
Just wondering the experiences of you all
Engine and autobox out... Or
Engine only

Its a 2.5 diesel, slush box 1998 166,000 miler.
I'm looking at an engine which comes without the torque converter on it so is it OK to change the torque converter to it off mine and will I have seals to change

Do you mean the ZF-22 autobox? If you change to a ZF-24 you’ll need to change the pump and bell housing over
Datatek knows his stuff with what boxes need what mods to bolt to which. Bemble is the Gbox god.
Try the search bar ;)

As for the engine out thing not a clue, depends on what kit you’ve got I suppose.

Whether or not you need to change the oil pump on the HP24 seems to be down to the age of the HP24, not all need the pump changing. For the diesel you fit your HP22 bell housing and torque converter or go for an uprated torque converter from Ashcroft.
