id have thought that if a good runner more valuable
disco 300 tdi 80000 miles ran perfect before we parked it up in the field, cant be hassled to fit this in my series, as there would be to much to change / alter ect, would rather keep the series original anyway.
haven't really advertised it anywhere but Someone will call in one day looking for one .

no the proper 2 .25 petrol is the perfect engine for yours a tdi would ruin it, but your 300 should get you a mint 2.25 as 300 more sought after

I should really get it advertised somewhere, rather sell it at a fair price to someone whos going to use it
 
yes you should,not forgetting all 2.25s are ancient so unlikely to be "a very good runner"
The reconditioned ones are a fortune, some look brand new, wish I was as clever as that.
Ill keep looking something will come up one day.

A mate of mine says he has one thats been in the shed for years, so not sure if it turns or not, Ill get him to get it sorted to have a look at it to see what its like then we can go from there. if its no good I will keep looking out for a cheap one.

yes if you have access to a complete unit ,thats your best bet ,its going to need a new alternator dizzy carb etc but a rebore and bearings may be necessary whatever you buy
