Hello i have just got a 2.5na and fitted it to my series 2a. I forgot to have a good look for the engine number but i have no idea where it would be can anyone shed any light on its location. Cheers.

I have seen it on the block down next to the injection pump.

Hi Guys,
My lads 2.5 N/A appears to have had a replacement block at some time, and I wanted to check the number has been updated on the V5 for him - could you tell me whereabouts near the pump the number is.
I have looked at the top faces abover the pump and found nothing..

mine was on the left hand front side of the block, looking at the engine. get some gunk or other engine cleaner.

Thanks for the reply - would that be the left side of the front face or the left side of the block?

left hand side of block, near the front of the engine.
