Hi all.
Just had an engine change after the turbo went and burnt the oil.

2 weeks later I get it back and straight away there was lack of power and lumpy running as soon as it got up to temperature. It rough idled and eventually cut out and would not restart.
Once it had cooled down again it was fine until it was up to temperature.

It was diagnosed as fuel rail pressure sensor which was changed and 4 days later I get it back and it's no different.

It's almost 4 weeks since the original breakdown and the few days I've had it it's been rubbish and unreliable.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Did you use the sensors from the old engine, or the sensors that cane with the replacement engine?

Hi as far as I know the injectors fuel system and and sensors located on the engine are the ones that came with the engine.
The only fuel related item that came frommy old engine was the high pressure fuel pump.

So it's likely that the replacement engine came with that fault already present.

I'd swap the sensors over from the old engine, especially the rail pressure sensor, as it sounds like it's duff.

The rail pressure sensor has been done.
It's back at the garage that did the engine swap. I'll mention it to them.
