Hi,

I have a small problem, nothing major. Or at least I don’t think so.

I have a 90 300tdi and I’m experiencing some engine judder at low revs, first gear, mostly in the mornings starting from cold. Disappears instantly when I dip the clutch and give it a few more revs.

I have recently had the whole works put onto a spanking new galvanized chassis, (Richards Chassis, fantastic!) and a new clutch fitted.

Not sure if new engine/gearbox mount were fitted on the changeover, could this be the problem?

Thanks, Steve.

Not sure if I should be sending a reply to my own post, (I’m new to this game).
Although I didn’t get any response to this post (too simple I guess) I just thought I had better let members know that the problem seems to have sorted itself. Perhaps it was a bit of oil, or moisture on the clutch plate, my bad clutch control, rather than failing engine/gearbox mounts.

Sorry for this delayed reply.

Thanks for your comment, clutch still seems fine, so you are probably right.

Having a Rover rally here tomorrow (sadly I won't be taking part) hoping to get get more than 400 4x4's in a convoy as a show of support for our right to stay British.

Hopefully it will make the BBC/Sky news in the UK.
