Hi guys little bit of help please, I have a series 2a 1970 with a 200tdi conversion done prior to my ownership. Is there anyway to identify the age or which vehicle it came from? Wanting to know this for ease of ordering the correct bits for it and to also see if I can run it on bio (the guy doesn't want to sell me any until I can identify and also find out if it is fitted with Lucas or another make( can't find any markings on it))

Almost certainly a 200 disco engine as defender version very difficult to fit due to low mounted injector pump.
made 89 to 93 ish
google bosch ve pump tuning for some decent images of injector pump etc

Disco 200 lump with bosch ve pump
Sometime s date stamp back right hand side of cylinder head
