my 1999 dse has "engine disabled press remote" replaced battery in the remote and car. reset windows sunroof ect but still getting the same message. when i try to enter the eka code the lights only flas on the unlock turn of the key and only on the first turn of the unlock turns. (the book says it should flash on all turns of the key for the code to be entered) i am lost

With the EKA access are you turning the key fully round and holding it in place for about 1 second for each turn, if I remember correctly, you should start with the vehicle locked, then begin the EKA procedure, so on the 4th turn of the number combination the vehicle is locked, then when you unlock the car with the key place the key in the ignition and turn to position II wait 5 seconds then try and start the vehicle. What year is your P38? From late 97 on the remote should be self learning so as soon as you insert the key the code is recognised and the vehicle should start. Let me know how you get on.
