I love my P38 but boy they are a labour of love when they go wrong, having just had the EAS system overhauled and running sweetly for a month the engine has now disabled itself.
Can anyone advise on the below problem
Engine has disabled itself, the keyfob lights are working but will not open the central locking there was no message on the display to indicate low battery so i am assuming the batteries and the switches on the lock unlock buttons on the keyfob are ok.
If i open the door manually with the key it will only open the drivers door not the full central locking then trying to start the engine i get the dreaded engine disabled warning, pushing the keyfob buttons does nothing so i have tried the EKA code on the door lock this does not work still getting the engine diasbled warning.
Can anyone advise, no spare key to try this failed a year or so back and had to get towed. Do you think it is the electronics in the key that have failed? If so can anyone advise someone to repair the key.
Thanks All
