Expert needed ! ... cannot find one locally for less than £60 an hour !

1 .... Engine power down , worse when engine under load as happens with Air con on. Had the Auto gearbox checked by specialist and it definitely is ok and the Torque converter is ok. Now being "steered" down the route of Diesel pump.Without a definitive confirmation of the pump being faulty which seems impossible to do without spending lots of money to find out is there any other possible item or condition that could cause these symptoms.

2 .... New air bags fitted 18 months ago , no leaks , eas pump failed 8 months ago. Air pump re sealed also the valve block, this lasted 6 months with the dreaded EAS fault appearing. Cleared the fault and bought a refurbished EAS compressor. This also seems to be running hot but I do not know how Hot it should run. I know the temp sensor kicks in at 120 but I have been measuring the pump casing temperature after 30 minute to 60 minute runs and it is consistently 75 deg C. Now obviously that is very hot touch, the question is, is it normal or too hot ?

Help would be appreciated

Mike

Diagnostics may tell you more but check pipe from under manifold to MAP sensor bolted to top of fuel filter. Check it is connected with no splits and there is a free flow without obstruction to sensor. Compressor maybe feeding a slight leak or diaphragm maybe leaking if it runs to often for long periods. Compressor will get hot in use. The more it runs the hotter it will get. Read my "How to" to find out how to check compressor for output.
