Hello,
I am a novice freelander owner with a few problems i need help with if possible please.
What is the best head gasket to put on a w reg freelander and any suggestions where to buy this from?
How easy is it to remove the engine and keep the gear box in situ?
For some reason i have no rear prop as previous owner removed it. Don't know why??? how easy are they to refit??
Any help would be highly appreciated.:confused::confused::confused:
Thanks in advance

Best think would be sell it as a project. Its going to bleed you dry.

They probably removed rear prop to do an amateur job of making it 2 wheel drive as fuel economy dire. What engine size is it? Etc.

Theres no guaranteeing the transfer box will be anygood and that costs a fortune to sort. Seriously sell it.

It doesn't matter what gasket you fit, it will still fail sooner or later, probably sooner. The reason for rear prop removal is probably due to a fooked IRD or VCU or center propshaft bearings. Just to be pedantic, the Gaylander does not have a transfer box, the IRD is what splits the drive between the 2 axles.
