What the Hell for?
It's a DIESEL!!!

You don't want to CONTROL the boost at all!

You want MAXIMUM BOOST at all times, from the lowest revs possible, but limited to some upper pressure which it will not exceed else you risk blowing the cylinder head off.

Your current mechanical diaphragm operating the waste-gate valve is the PERFECT way to achieve all these objectives, but if you want to be fussy, find the pressure pipe for the waste gate which is tapped into the turbo outlet. Take it off. Plug the outlet. Fit the turbo waste-gate pressure pipe to a new nipple on the inlet manifold instead. It makes a difference .....
