Yesterday whilst driving home the front wiper delay stopped working. Then I noticed the delay was in fact operating the rear wiper which was not activated !
After stopping and turning off the engine and restarting and driving off the wiper delay worked fine. Then I could hear all the door locking mechanisms trying to lock every few minutes all very strange. Later the heated rear window switched itself on briefly and then turned itself off. After parking up, switching the engine off and locking the car, the rear wiper started working ! Driving today everything worked as it should but can hear various relays switching in and out from the main fuse board under and to the right of the steering column. The door locking mechanisms continue to operate on every door by themselves. After researching and reading the Hayes manual I think its the Central Control Unit because it is the only common component that interfaces with all the problem electrical items I have described and would appreciate help and advice please. :scratching_chin:

Sounds as if water has got into the electrics somewhere causing the wires to short and cause strange behaviour.

Have a look in the drivers footwell at the connectors at the bottom of the a post and also at the CCU connectors (on the rear of the fuse box)

Thanks I will try what you have suggested this evening. :)

Have you tried an exorcism just to rule the ghost in the machine out? Oh, and throw some salt at the missus just in case...
