I have been reading your post and I also have the same symptons on my Disco 2 TD5. Did you ever find out what was the root cause of the fault and what you done to rectify this.

John

there's a fault within the interior fusebox/IDM ... u need a new(or at least a good) one....before that check the connectors in it's back... it used to be water ingress there which could have caused corrosion, maybe u are lucky

I was hoping MIKE Lr would have replied on what was the final outcome of his fault.

Sierrafery you have already replied to my post a few weeks back, but I am still out in the North Sea but once I get home I have to hot wire the super locks to get the doors open. My IDM has no water damage and is bone dry so I am assuming it could be a damaged loom somewhere behind the dash or loose connector as the fault was sudden.

Will soon find out when I rip the Disco apart.

i forgot about it.... anyway what i said is that if u find water ingress u might be lucky cos then it's easyer to fix than if the IDM itsself is at fault ...and when the IDM goes it doesnt need water;)

Just got back onshore and blipped the key fob and the doors have unlocked. Everything else is working. Pulled the side panel covers off in the drivers and passenger footwells and noticed on the drivers side that the harness connectors slightly moist so looks like water may have played havoc as the drivers side carpet was a bit damp as well. Will be connecting the Nanocom and disabling the super lock for the time being for access.

Thanks
